Star Wars: The Old Republic, frequently mentioned as TOR or SWTOR, is a massive multiplayer online role-playing game based on the Star Wars universe. Star Wars: The Old Republic was developed by BioWare Austin and a supplemental team at BioWare Edmonton.
The video game was promised to be released for Microsoft Windows platform on December 20, 2011 in North America and Europe, but, early access starts today with the first wave of subscribers. Whoever have pre-ordered the game early , through a retailer or EA’s Origin client, he should be included in the starting waves. Well, he’ll need a monthly subscription too, but most new copies of Old Republic already include 30 days of that.
BioWare will continue let the players in until the release date, maybe it is an effort to reduce the stress on their servers and to avoid a messy launch.
